FOR THE ONE WHO LOVES LEARNING, IDEAS, READING AND WRITING
THIS SPACE IS FOR YOU
An intellectual community for life-long learning built to support ideas, conversation, and intellectual growth.
No exams. No pressure. Just a space to be among those who love learning just as much as you do.
You don’t need to be a student.
Accepted is a community for people with a passion for education. Whether your writing your PhD, are an independent scholar, or haven’t stepped foot in a classroom for years, this space is for you to explore, challenge, and share your ideas.
IS ACCEPTED RIGHT FOR YOU?
Your CV doesn’t matter to us. Your curiosities do.
Our members come from every discipline, background, region, age group, etc. These factors don’t matter to us. What does, is what lights you up. Which lessons you have held onto. And the things you wish most to learn.
Accepted is for those who wish the conversations in seminar never had to come to an end.
You don’t need to show up for everything.
Join a working group and dissect an article or simply study alongside other members in the silent online library. This community accepts you as you are and whatever time you wish to dedicate to being a life-long learner.

A COMMUNITY 5 YEARS IN THE MARKING
Accepted Society is a community built for the student with all the questions. The kind of person who reads the footnotes. For the one whose daydreams drift to the spires of Oxford, the historic manuscripts held in an ancient archive or who wishes they had someone to discuss the latest documentary with.
Accepted was built by two scholars who returned to study not out of obligation or necessity. They returned to the lecture hall out of a passion for learning. Kaelyn and Cait (Accepted’s Co-Founders) both returned to study but recognize that the driver was not just the degree, it was the never ending desire for knowledge. And that experience and passion we explore through our studies should not end when we walk away with a diploma. Learning is a life-long pursuit.
Accepted was built for the curious. For those whose why was never simple. Because we deserve a place to grow without taking out a loan or pausing our lives to do so.

GOING BACK TO SCHOOL ISN’T ALWAYS THE ANSWER
For so many, the value of higher education has become all the more tenuous with rising tuition costs and practical challenges (especially for those thinking of returning to school later into their adult lives). Accepted Society exists for both: the one who couldn’t go back and for those who are committed to an academic path.
We all share something in common: a love to learning.
A COMMUNITY WHERE YOU BELONG
You don’t need to pursue this path alone.
Education is best experienced in collaboration.

Think of it like this
ACCEPTED IS FOR YOUR INTELLECTUAL WELLBEING
We invest in gyms for our physical health.
We invest in therapists and out hobbies for our mental health.
But what about our intellectual health? Shouldn’t that be a priority as well?
Accepted offers the routine, community, and intellectual environment found at Universities but it not lost when we leave with our diploma and does not demand the tuition and opportunity costs of another degree.

As a PhDone Member you will access 1:1 coaching, an exclusive community of doctoral students, and the tools to complete your PhD without losing yourself along the way.
Scholarship Beyond Academia
Scholars exist outside of academia. They write papers, attend conferences, engage in scholarly discourse. They just lack the structure and institutional support that many graduate students and research fellows do. However, as graduate school has become less accessible, we scholars are finding new ways to have our work seen and disseminated.
That is what Researchers is all about. Providing the structure, skills, and 1:1 support to take your research from idea to publication.
An Intellectual Life Podcast
Join Cait and Kaelyn every Wednesday for open discussions on literature, history, popular culture, and the questions which we simply must discuss. Each week we discuss our work on and off the page, dive into "seminar” style discussions and respond to your burning questions which you can submit here.
